Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Developer/Technical Lead to join our team.

This role requires a strong background in application design, development, testing, and maintenance projects with a focus on Core Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS, MySQL database, Postgress database.

The ideal candidate will have 4-10 years of IT experience, be fluent in Japanese and English, and have knowledge of Agile methodology, DevOps, Security vulnerability management, and P&C Insurance domain knowledge.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Designing and implementing APIs and integrations in insurance or financial systems
  • Coordinating with Customer SMEs, Onsite and Offshore teams
  • Actively involving in Application transition and stabilization phases by aligning to Japan (JST) working hours

Besides the core skills and qualifications mentioned above, some good-to-have qualities for this role include exposure to test automation (SoapUI, Postman), monitoring tools, distributed architecture, microservices, and Japanese insurance regulatory requirements.

In addition to technical skills, the successful candidate will have excellent communication and coordination skills, able to establish good relationships with Customer, Onsite and Offshore teams.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Fluent in reading, writing, and conversing in both Japanese & English languages.
  2. Ready to work in JST morning hours as required.
  3. Actively involve in supporting architecture decisions, prepare design documents, coding, conduct code reviews, ensure code quality compliance, troubleshoot technical issues, defect fixes, successful build and deployments.
  4. Collaborate with frontend, data, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end digital solutions.
