System Architect and Design Engineer

Your primary role will be to design and architect different interconnect topologies as driven by bandwidth, latency, and RAS requirements. You will also develop features, present proposed architecture in high-level design discussions, and collaborate with various teams to develop the feature.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect interconnect topologies based on bandwidth, latency, and RAS requirements.
  • Develop features and present proposed architecture in high-level design discussions.
  • Collaborate with verification, DFT, physical design, FW, SW teams to develop the feature.
  • Sign off pre-silicon design that meets all functional, area, and timing goals.
  • Participate in silicon bring-up and validation of the hardware.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of one generation of processor interconnect design delivery leadership experience (e.g., UPI, AXI, AMBA, NoC).
  • Expertise in SMP coherency.
  • Experience with different on-chip interconnect topologies (e.g., mesh, crossbar).
  • Understanding of snoop and data network protocols.
  • Knowledge of latency and bandwidth requirements and effective means of implementation.
  • Working knowledge of queuing theory.
  • NUMA/NUCA architecture.
  • Proficiency in HDLs - VHDL / Verilog.
  • Experience in high-speed and power-efficient logic design.
  • Collaboration skills for design closure including test plan reviews and verification coverage.
  • Understanding of Physical Design for floor planning, wire layer usage and budgets.

Preferred Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, but Master's degree is preferred.
