Senior Financial Manager Job Description

Narwal, a global leader in AI and data engineering solutions, is seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Accounts to lead its India operations.

The ideal candidate will oversee all accounting operations, ensure statutory compliance, manage audits, financial reporting, and drive business objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing day-to-day accounting activities, including ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
  • Ensuring compliance with Indian tax regulations, including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
  • Establishing robust checks and controls within each task to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinating and managing internal and external audits and ensuring audit readiness.
  • Reviewing and finalizing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Developing and implementing internal controls, financial policies, and procedures.
  • Working closely with business heads to provide financial insights and strategic support.
  • Liaising with banks, auditors, and government authorities for financial and statutory matters.
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • A CA/CMA/MBA or equivalent qualification is mandatory.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, taxation laws, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Zoho, Tally) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
