Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Test Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing and executing test plans, validating large datasets, and ensuring quality across Google Cloud Platform-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and reports.
  • Perform data-level validations: schema checks, completeness, integrity, and freshness validations.
  • Work extensively with GCP services (especially BigQuery) for data validation.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for testing large data sets.
  • Automate test cases using GCP services like Cloud Composer (or Apache Airflow), BigQuery and SQL.
  • Monitor GCP cloud logs and build dashboards.
  • Identify, log, and track defects and provide regular status updates on execution/validation progress.
  • Manage defect triage with various stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams.
