Director Position

Job Overview:

We are seeking a visionary leader to helm our School of Governance. As Director, you will define the strategic direction and priorities for our academic programs and research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive vision for the school's medium- and long-term goals.
  • Lead and manage the teaching and non-teaching staff to drive excellence in governance education.
  • Cultivate an environment that fosters innovation, leadership, and social responsibility among students.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop synergies between education, research, and service priorities across the university.

Accountabilities:

  1. Oversee Academic Programs: Prepare strategic plans, evaluate institutional processes, and align them with the mission and vision.
  2. Design High-Quality Curriculum: Develop curricula that meet governance needs with a global perspective and ensure continuous review and improvement.
  3. Lead Social Initiatives: Drive large-scale projects involving multiple stakeholders, including priority setting, planning, budgeting, performance review, and management.
  4. Plan Manpower Needs: Recruit high-caliber faculty on time to ensure effective delivery of teaching, research, and consultancy activities.
  5. Faculty Development: Focus on continuous professional development to keep faculty members up-to-date with latest developments in their areas of specialization.
  6. Engagement and Interaction: Engage with society at large to understand changing needs and incorporate them into curriculum development.
  7. Track Local, Regional, and National Legislative Issues: Develop strategies to keep the board, management, and staff informed about key policies and advocacy issues.
