Job Title:

Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to oversee the quality processes across design, manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing phases of spacecraft and subsystems.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement quality plans, procedures, and standards
  • Ensure quality requirements are embedded during SRR, PDR, CDR
  • Conduct audits and process evaluations to assess vendors and internal teams
  • Ensure traceability and configuration control for components and documentation
  • Support risk management by conducting FMEA, FTA analysis
Key Responsibilities (continued):
  • Perform inspection and testing of incoming components, in-process assemblies, and final products
  • Monitor compliance with ATPs, PID, and DTRs
  • Coordinate environmental testing, including thermal, vibration, EMI/EMC tests
  • Investigate non-conformances and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Maintain calibration and certification records for test equipment
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
  • 2-3 years of experience in QA/QC roles, preferably in aerospace or space systems
  • Familiarity with standards like ECSS, ISRO-PAS, MIL-STD-883, IPC-A-610
  • Hands-on experience with inspection tools, test benches, and environmental chambers
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with satellite subsystems (e.g., Reaction Wheel, Battery, EPS, CDH)
  • Experience with satellite Assembly & Integration QA/QC
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering and statistical quality control
  • Exposure to cleanroom protocols and ESD-safe handling
  • Certification/Knowledge in Six Sigma, AS9100, or ISO 9001 is a plus
