About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for building data visualizations using React, Raphael JS, and SVG, aligned with WCAG & ARIA standards. This includes ensuring clean and semantic code across HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as conducting accessibility testing using automated tools like Axe, Wave, Lighthouse, and manual testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement accessible and interactive data visualizations using React, Raphael JS, and SVG.
- Ensure code quality by following best practices and conducting regular testing.
- Collaborate with design and UX teams to create tools that are both visually engaging and fully usable.
- Document accessibility practices and maintain consistent guidelines.
- Stay up to date with emerging accessibility standards and visualization best practices.
Requirements
- 3+ years of front-end development experience, ideally with visualization tools.
- Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
- Proficiency in Raphael JS and SVG for building data visualizations.
- Solid understanding of WCAG and ARIA standards.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
Bonus Points For
- Experience with user research or usability testing for data visualization.
