Indirect Tax Advisory Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate to join our Indirect Tax Advisory team. As an Associate, you will play a key role in providing tax advisory services to clients across various industries.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting in-depth research and analysis of legal provisions related to indirect tax.
  • Drafting tax advisories, opinions, and compliance reports for clients.
  • Preparing PowerPoint presentations for client meetings, trainings, and seminars.
  • Analyzing client data to estimate tax impact on business transactions.
  • Building scenarios to identify the most tax-efficient business model.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Client service delivery/execution: Providing proactive identification and discussion of technical issues with clients while being mindful of firm risk issues.
  • Handling tax matters, including preparation of submissions, replies to notices, appeals, and representation during appeals with seniors.
  • Executing work on multiple client bases, assuming near-independent responsibility for smaller clients.
  • Developing rapport with middle layers of client management.

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Excellent communication and drafting skills.
  • Strong analytical and researching skills.
  • Proactive, reliable, and attention to detail.

In terms of qualifications, we are looking for:

  • CA or Law Graduate from a known Law School with a strong academic track record.
  • 0-2 years of post-qualification experience in Indirect Tax in the field of litigation or advisory.
