AWS Data Engineer Role

As a highly skilled AWS Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT solutions using AWS cloud services to ingest, process, and store structured/unstructured data from multiple sources.

You will implement data lake and data warehouse solutions to optimize data pipelines for performance, cost, and scalability. Additionally, you will collaborate with domain experts, data scientists, and business analysts to translate Oil & Gas business requirements into data solutions.

Your responsibilities will also include ensuring data governance, data quality, and security compliance, as well as supporting real-time data streaming and analytics using AWS services.

Technical skills required for this role include proficiency in AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, EMR, Lake Formation, Lambda, Kinesis, Step Functions, CloudWatch, RDS, and DynamoDB. You should also have expertise in ETL/ELT development using PySpark, Python, or SQL, as well as experience with data modeling, warehousing, and performance tuning.

A strong understanding of data lakes and modern data architecture is essential, along with hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices for data solutions. Familiarity with Oil & Gas industry datasets and use cases is also desirable.
