Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support in identifying and implementing regulatory change, including policy, process, and system adaptations.
  • Assist in collating and validating data/information sought by regulators before, during, and after regulatory inspections.
  • Identify and remediate gaps/improvement areas identified during inspections and compliance testing.
  • Act as a point of contact for escalations, controls, key processes, and risk indicators in supporting the risk department's regulatory governance and compliance agenda.
  • Contribute to evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of regulatory reporting policies, processes, and controls, and develop and manage effective change management processes.

Regulatory Reporting Oversight and Management

Ensuring Regulatory Compliance:

  • Manage end-to-end submission of regulatory reports/returns under the ownership of the risk department to ensure all regulatory reporting obligations are fulfilled.
  • Support risk reporting-related transformation projects, including project management tasks, such as developing project charters, project plans, and status update reports, as well as overall project monitoring.
  • Work closely with regulatory compliance teams to understand and document the risk department's regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring these requirements are actioned with relevant business, data, and engineering teams.
  • Implement and maintain end-to-end processes around report creation and delivery, and support documentation of regulatory reporting requirement controls, ensuring they are auditable.
  • Maintain data quality control processes to ensure regulatory reports are accurate, meet documented requirements, and are signed off with appropriate maker-checker controls.

Collaboration and Innovation

  • Assist in implementing systems necessary to create efficiencies in the regulatory reporting process, working closely with teams such as compliance, finance, data engineering, etc.
  • Maintain scalable mechanisms and controls for tracking regulatory reporting compliance in line with best-in-class industry practice.
  • Contribute towards producing periodic regulatory reporting program health reports for senior management, including trend analysis and recommended strategies; analyze and explain the causes of major movements in trends.
