Job Title: Financial Transactions Analyst

Job Overview

This is a highly skilled and detail-oriented role that involves managing financial transactions, ensuring timely and accurate application of payments to customer accounts.

  • The position requires a strong analytical mind and excellent problem-solving skills to investigate and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • You will be responsible for reconciling daily cash receipts with bank statements, identifying trends or irregularities in accounts receivable reports, and providing relevant records for audits.
  • Cash Application specialist must possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Accurately post and allocate customer payments to appropriate accounts in ERP systems.
  2. Process unapplied and unidentified payments, ensuring timely resolution.
  3. Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies such as short payments, overpayments, or deductions.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., PA, billing) and customers to address payment issues.
  5. Document and escalate unresolved discrepancies as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent relevant courses.
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience in cash application.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and procedures and internal controls.
  • Proven experience as a cash applications or similar role.
  • Excellent skills in investigating/researching payment history/details.
  • Knowledge of billing procedures and collections.
  • Proficiency knowledge of MS Office and databases.
