Key Responsibilities
  • Create dynamic, interactive data visualizations using React, Raphael JS, and SVG, adhering to WCAG & ARIA standards.
  • Ensure clean, semantic, and accessible code across HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Conduct thorough accessibility testing (utilizing automated tools like Axe, Wave, Lighthouse, plus manual testing).
  • Collaborate closely with design and UX teams to create tools that are both visually appealing and fully usable.
  • Develop and maintain consistent accessibility guidelines.
  • Stay current with emerging accessibility standards and visualization best practices.

 

Requirements
  • 3+ years of front-end development experience, ideally with visualization tools.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
  • Proficiency in Raphael JS and SVG for building dynamic data visualizations.
  • Solid understanding of WCAG and ARIA standards.
  • Experience with Git or other version control systems.

 

Bonus Points For
  • Experience with user research or usability testing for data visualization.
  • Familiarity with additional data visualization frameworks/libraries.
  • Contributions to open-source accessibility efforts or active involvement in related communities.
