As a Senior Database Administrator in a leading organization, you will play a key role in ensuring the effectiveness and security of enterprise systems.

This position requires a strong background in database administration, with expertise in managing and maintaining large-scale databases. Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL database technologies is necessary to succeed in this role.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Cloudera Data Platform (CDP), Apache Kafka, Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, as well as proficiency in developing and maintaining automation scripts using Shell scripting and Ansible for deployment, monitoring, and configuration management.

This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong communication skills to work effectively with data engineers, developers, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and maintaining large-scale databases
  • Ensuring high availability and performance of database systems
  • Administering and monitoring Apache Kafka clusters
  • Developing and maintaining automation scripts
  • Collaborating with data engineers and developers to optimize data pipelines
  • Implementing and maintaining security best practices across all data platforms

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, and minimum 6 years relevant experience
  • Experience with Big Data Technologies, including HDFS, Kubernetes, Kafka, Elastic, SQL Server
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to implement new technologies effectively
