Database Administration Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Database Administration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining databases to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, implement, and maintain databases to ensure data integrity and security.
  2. Develop and execute database maintenance plans to optimize performance and reduce downtime.
  3. Analyze and resolve database issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of database technologies and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in database administration, with a focus on cloud-based databases.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems such as Snowflake, Vertica, Redshift, Impala, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Terraform and other infrastructure as code tools.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell.
  • Experience with big data analytics and data warehousing.
