This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Database Administration Specialist.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for executing standard database administration tasks, including monitoring and maintenance. They will have good knowledge of relational database management principles and experience with standard database administration tasks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as the ability to quickly diagnose issues and find solutions/workarounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform database administration tasks such as monitoring and maintenance.
- Knowledge of relational database management principles.
- Experience with standard database administration tasks.
- Diagnose and resolve database problems.
- Escalate issues to next-level support team members if unable to resolve.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree and 1-3 years experience with relational databases (Oracle or MS SQL Server).
- Strong knowledge of Linux and shell scripting.
- Able to acquire new database technology knowledge on-the-job.
- Self-reliant and self-driven individual.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Demonstrates honesty/integrity/professionalism.
