The ideal candidate will have experience in sports content editing, proofreading, and fact-checking. They should also have a strong command of the English language and understanding of American culture.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to maintain a fast-paced newsroom environment. Leadership skills are essential to mentor writers and inspire them to grow and evolve as contributors to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Editing and publishing articles daily to maintain high-quality content for our readers.
  • Fact-checking, researching, and refining articles to deliver value to our audience.
  • Collaborating with writers, editors, and content managers to constantly refine and elevate content.
  • Mentoring writers, inspiring them to grow and evolve as contributors to the team.
  • Staying on top of breaking news to ensure timely updates for our readers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Media/Journalism, or similar discipline.
  • 6-12 months of experience in sports content editing, proofreading, or similar roles.
  • Strong command of the English language and understanding of American culture.
  • Leadership skills to inspire and mentor a team of writers.
  • Passion for sports, with eagerness to cover breaking news, live events, and in-depth analyses.
