Job Summary

The Plant Head oversees quality and control processes at a manufacturing facility for electrical panels. This role ensures compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and internal objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Monitor and control quality processes across production stages.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of quality professionals to achieve quality objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and customer-specific requirements.
  • Drive initiatives for process optimization, defect reduction, and quality improvement using tools like Six Sigma, Lean, and root cause analysis.
  • Oversee testing procedures, including dielectric tests, temperature rise tests, and short-circuit withstand tests, to ensure product reliability and safety.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality specifications.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related customer queries, complaints, and audits.
  • Maintain accurate quality records, prepare reports, and present quality performance metrics to senior management.
  • Identify potential quality risks and implement corrective actions to mitigate them.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in quality management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the electrical panel industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical panel design, manufacturing processes, and testing standards.
  • Skills:
  • Expertise in QMS, Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical process control.
  • Proficiency in quality tools like FMEA, Pareto charts, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and quality management software.
