Supply Chain Management Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Management Specialist to join our team at Carrier. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for managing the procurement and logistics of our products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and qualify potential suppliers to meet our quality and pricing requirements
- Procure engineering goods, services, and software to support our operations
- Source contractor support for the engineering function
- Negotiate terms for the procurement of goods, services, and supplies
- Execute supply chain strategies to meet business objectives
- Analyze prices, financial reports, and other data to determine reasonable prices
- Evaluate vendors' capability, quality, reliability, and price competitiveness
Requirements:
- Requires advanced knowledge obtained through a university degree, combined with experience
- Practical to substantial knowledge of Carrier organization, programs, or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from a Premier Engineering Institute
- A minimum of 8 years of functional experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong written and oral communication skills, demonstrating creativity and technical expertise
- Ability to influence, collaborate, and work across all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
- High degree of independence
- Problem-solving attitude with a focus on teamwork
- Understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Office, PowerPoint)
- Relentless drive to overachieve, outstanding team player, strategic vision with the ability to execute
- Excel in a matrix organization, work in a fast-paced team-based environment
- Ability to work on complex problems in an ambiguous environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), Power BI, JDE (SAP support) systems
