Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Menswear Buyer to join our organization. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in apparel procurement and product expertise, coupled with excellent negotiation skills and proven experience in vendor management.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Buying Strategy Development
  • Create and implement strategic buying plans to optimize procurement processes.
Talent Leadership
  • Oversee the buying team to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services.
Negotiation and Contract Administration
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
Market Analysis and Vendor Evaluation
  • Analyze market trends and supplier performance to inform buying decisions.
  • Evaluate vendor capabilities and maintain relationships for long-term partnerships.
Collaboration and Communication
  • Collaborate with internal departments to align buying activities with organizational objectives.
Cost Efficiency and Process Improvement
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and drive efficiency in the buying process.

Qualifications:

  1. Apparel Procurement Experience
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in apparel procurement and product expertise.
Education and Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field, preferably from NIFT.
  • Professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is an added advantage.
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong negotiation skills and proven experience in vendor management.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and decision-making capabilities.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to manage a buying team successfully.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sourcing strategies and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
