Job Description

Design Development:

  • Develop unique and aesthetically pleasing interior designs based on client requirements and project briefs.
  • Prepare detailed design concepts, mood boards, layout plans, and presentations.
  • Select and specify materials, finishes, and furnishings that align with the design concept and budget.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the feasibility and functionality of design ideas.

Client Interaction:

  • Conduct client meetings to understand their needs, preferences, and vision.
  • Presentation of design concepts to clients, explaining design ideas, color schemes, materials, and furniture selections.
  • Incorporate client feedback and make necessary revisions to designs.

Space Planning:

  • Ensure optimal utilization of available space while maintaining the desired aesthetic.
  • Prepare floor plans, 3D visualizations, and layouts, ensuring the design maximizes both form and function.

Project Coordination:

  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and project milestones.
  • Supervise site work to ensure the design is implemented according to the plan and address any site challenges.
  • Monitor project budgets and timelines, making adjustments as necessary to keep the project on track.

Quality Control:

  • Maintain high-quality standards in design execution.
  • Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and sustainability practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field is mandatory. Minimum 2-4 years of experience in interior design, preferably in residential and commercial projects, is required.


Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, or similar tools is expected. Strong understanding of design principles, space planning, and color theory is essential. Knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction processes is also required.


Personal Attributes

Strong creative, artistic, and conceptual skills are necessary. Excellent communication and presentation abilities are required. Attention to detail with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality designs is essential.


Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with clients is vital. Knowledge of sustainable design practices is an added advantage.
