Delivering Innovative Solutions
We're looking for a highly skilled Software Engineer II to contribute to the delivery of complex solutions, breaking down big problems into smaller pieces. You'll actively participate in team planning activities, ensuring the quality and integrity of the SDLC, and identify opportunities for improvement in how the team works. Additionally, you'll be responsible for triaging complex issues independently and being aware of the technology landscape to plan the delivery of coarse-grained business needs spanning multiple applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to delivering complex solutions by breaking down big problems into smaller pieces.
- Participate in team planning activities to ensure effective workflow.
- Ensure the quality and integrity of the SDLC, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Triage complex issues independently and proactively communicate status and issues to your manager.
- Aware of the technology landscape, helping to plan the delivery of coarse-grained business needs.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should have:
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience with a bachelor's degree OR equivalent.
- Ability to write Splunk, Kibana queries, and analyze logs in Splunk or Kibana, along with writing build scripts in Maven, Gradle, etc.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Hands-on experience in development using Java and related frameworks.
- In-depth knowledge of Java frameworks (Spring MVC, Spring Boot) and architecture.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and understanding of RESTful web service standards.
- Working knowledge of Microservice architecture and Cloud Services (AWS, GCP).
- Proficiency in RDBMS or NoSQL Databases.
- Ability to write unit test cases covering all use cases using unit test frameworks like JUnit or Spoc.
- Experience with messaging systems, preferably Kafka.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Ability to triage and manage complex performance and production issues.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will also possess:
- Experience working in an omni-channel retail environment.
- Working knowledge of Groovy scripting.
- Ability to work and adapt to new technologies and tools.
- Excellent communication skills.
