About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth running of plant machinery and equipment, as well as the smooth functioning of the Maintenance Department.

Job Responsibilities

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the maintenance of plant machinery and equipment in accordance with established standards and procedures
  • Leading and managing a team of maintenance personnel to ensure the smooth functioning of the department
  • Developing and implementing effective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 15-20 years of experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing industry
  • Hands-on experience with PLC-based special purpose machines, utilities, hydraulic and mechanical presses, material handling equipment, and ovens and furnaces
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team
  • Proficiency in designing and reconditioning machine control panels, as well as material procurement and vendor development

Key Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Extensive knowledge of electrical, electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, computers, and automation
  • Strong understanding of standardizing, evaluating, and controlling machine spares
  • Familiarity with work and quality systems such as ISO, TS-16949, 5S, and TPM
  • Ability to train and guide maintenance crew in troubleshooting, modifying circuits and mechanisms, procuring and maintaining spares, analyzing breakdowns, and implementing corrective and preventive actions
  • Strategic planning and execution of comprehensive preventive, predictive, and shutdown maintenance programs
