Job Overview

We seek an accomplished Scientific Content Specialist to lead our medical communications team as a subject matter expert. This role involves spearheading the creation of high-quality content, including reactive and proactive decks, medical information letters, infographics, quick response guides, verbal response documents, FAQs, and product monographs.

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of assigned therapeutic areas and have a solid understanding of pertinent disease states and clinical trials. They will be responsible for conducting medical reviews and data fact-checks on MedComm deliverables, delivering accurate literature searches, and obtaining copyright permissions prior to internal or external use.

This role requires exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to recognize client business needs and align team capabilities accordingly. The successful candidate will upskill a team of scientific writers, prepare and update specific training documents as needed, and participate in routine client meetings and lead these meetings when necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of high-quality medical communications content
  • Conduct medical reviews and data fact-checks on MedComm deliverables
  • Deliver accurate literature searches and obtain copyright permissions
  • Upskill a team of scientific writers and prepare training documents
  • Participate in routine client meetings and lead these meetings when necessary
Requirements
  • Postgraduate degree in pharmacy, pharmacology, or a related field
  • 4-12 years of experience in medical communication, scientific writing, content writing, medical review, or publication experience in the life sciences domain
