As a seasoned Scrum Master + Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating team collaboration and driving business outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Agile principles and practices, with experience in facilitating Scrum ceremonies, coaching teams on best practices, and removing impediments.
Responsibilities will include tracking and communicating team metrics to stakeholders, working closely with Team, Business, and Stakeholders to ensure a well-groomed and prioritized backlog, and collaborating with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for data warehouse and data services projects.
Key responsibilities also include translating business needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria, working with data architects, engineers, and QA to ensure requirements are understood and delivered accurately, and supporting data quality initiatives and defining data governance standards.
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives.
- Coach the team: Agile/Scrum best practices and principles.
- Remove impediments: Foster a collaborative, self-organizing team environment.
- Track and communicate team metrics: Velocity, burndown, etc. to stakeholders.
- Work closely with stakeholders: Ensure a well-groomed and prioritized backlog.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders: Gather, analyze, and document requirements for data warehouse and data services projects.
- Translate business needs: Clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Work with data teams: Data architects, engineers, QA.
- Support data quality initiatives: Define data governance standards.
- Assist in testing: User acceptance testing and validation of data solutions.
- Bachelor's degree: Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
- Experience as Scrum Master: 3+ years in a technical environment.
- Experience as Business Analyst: 3+ years, preferably in data warehousing, data analytics, or data services.
- Strong understanding: Data warehouse concepts, ETL processes, data modeling.
- Agile project management tools: Jira, Confluence.
- Excellent communication skills: Facilitation, interpersonal skills.
- Ability to translate complex requirements: Technical specifications.
- Optional but good to have: Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
- SQL and data analysis tools: A plus.
