Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Release Coordinator to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software releases. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of release processes in large-scale environments and be able to drive process improvements and optimize workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive release plans that outline timelines, milestones, and dependencies across the release lifecycle.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Development, QA, Operations, and Product Management to ensure alignment and preparation for upcoming releases.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate potential risks or issues that could impact release timelines or quality.
  • Ensure all changes are well-documented, communicated, and approved according to established change control processes.
  • Coordinate deployments in cloud environments, ensuring compliance with relevant security and operational policies.
  • Champion continuous integration, delivery, and deployment practices; drive automation to improve release reliability and efficiency.
  • Track release progress and provide regular updates, including detailed performance metrics and status reports to stakeholders.
  • Lead the resolution of issues during release phases to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Maintain and manage the organization's release calendar, ensuring coordination with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee the merging of validated changes into main code branches, coordinating closely with development and QA teams.
  • Present planned changes in meetings and secure approvals as required.
  • Monitor post-release performance, coordinate hotfixes if needed, and facilitate reviews.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Certification in cloud technologies, such as AWS Solutions Architect.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools, such as Docker, and orchestration tools, such as Kubernetes.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
  • Strong understanding of release processes in complex environments.
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and optimize workflows.
