Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, configure, and maintain advanced development tools and infrastructure to support software development and release processes.
  • Lead initiatives to automate and optimize build, deployment, and monitoring processes for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to software development, deployment, and system functionality.
  • Ensure implementation of robust security measures and processes to safeguard systems against cybersecurity threats.
  • Collaborate with software developers, engineers, and IT teams to streamline operations and ensure system functionality and performance.
  • Participate in architectural design discussions and contribute to the development of scalable, high-performance solutions.
  • Leverage open-source tools and technologies to meet sophisticated project and system requirements.
  • Utilize coding and scripting expertise (e.g, Python, Shell) to design and implement custom workflows for various processes.
  • Oversee the deployment of updates, patches, and fixes while ensuring minimal downtime or disruptions to the system.
  • Conduct detailed root cause analysis for production errors and devise corrective measures to improve system reliability.
  • Lead the investigation and resolution of high-impact technical issues in production and development environments.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities, ensuring deadlines and project milestones are met.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a DevOps or similar role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
  • Solid understanding of the core pillars of DevOps, including:
    • Networking fundamentals.
    • Linux and Windows operating systems.
    • Programming languages (e.g, JavaScript, Python).
    • Cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
    • DevOps tools and best practices.
  • Excellent documentation, organizational skills, and a process-oriented mindset for driving operational efficiencies.
  • Strong grasp of IT operations and best practices for ensuring high availability, system security, and resilience.
  • Practical experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Advanced experience with Kubernetes, particularly Amazon EKS.
  • Expertise in administering and deploying continuous integration and deployment tools (e.g, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Shell for automating infrastructure tasks.
  • Experience in serverless computing frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring solutions like Grafana and Prometheus.
  • Familiarity with code scanning tools such as SonarQube.
  • Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, with a preference for Terraform.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
