Scientific Officer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Scientific Officer in our Blood Bank department.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Interface with patients, attendants, nursing staff, technicians, and service users to provide excellent customer care and ensure effective communication.
  2. Demonstrate technical expertise and professional knowledge to determine blood group and ensure accurate reporting.
  3. Perform compatibility testing, phlebotomy, and screen blood for infectious diseases ensuring compliance with established protocols.
  4. Maintain accurate records and ensure safe utilization of equipment and proper waste disposal systems.
  5. Effectively manage people and maintain a well-groomed, punctual, and disciplined work environment.
  • Performance Indicators:
  1. Zero errors in blood typing and compatibility testing.
  2. Minimum errors in documentation.
  3. Zero errors in issue of blood components within defined turnaround time.
Requirements
  • Minimum Qualifications: DMLT (Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology)
  • 1 year's experience in a reputable hospital in a Blood Bank setting.
  • Understanding of business operations, customer service, teamwork, interpersonal communication, leadership, personal effectiveness, and result-focused skills.
  • Technical skills in documentation, equipment handling, and proficiency in English, Hindi, and Punjabi languages.
