About Us

Plastic Fischer GmbH is a pioneering social enterprise dedicated to tackling ocean plastic pollution in Germany. Our mission revolves around collecting plastic waste from rivers, protecting marine biodiversity, and developing innovative solutions using locally sourced materials.

We strive to maintain international best practices in our River Plastic management initiatives. Since 2021, our efforts have led to the creation of over 75 jobs in India and Indonesia, with more than 1800 tons of plastic collected and processed.

New Project Initiative

We are expanding our operations to Mumbai with a groundbreaking project. This initiative involves deploying our cutting-edge TrashBoom technology in rivers and drains, implementing comprehensive Waste Management SOPs, and establishing a state-of-the-art Material Recovery Facility (MRF) for efficient waste recovery.

Job DescriptionProject Oversight

As our Environmental Impact Manager, you will oversee all aspects of this project, including budgeting, operational efficiency, impact assessment, and employee performance tracking.

  • Manage project implementation, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, providing regular updates to senior management.
Infrastructure Management

You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our proprietary TrashBoom technology, including waste collection systems and the setup of the MRF.

  • Supervise the deployment, maintenance, and quality control processes involving subcontractors and vendors.
  • Collaborate with local government officials to coordinate project activities and obtain necessary permissions.
Team Management

You will lead an experienced team of professionals in the effective implementation of our technology and waste management operations.

  • Hire and manage operational staff, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging team members to contribute to process improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in active project management, preferably with on-site leadership roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage diverse teams and engage with multiple stakeholders at higher levels of authority.
