Cloud Data Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Engineer to design and develop scalable ETL pipelines using cloud-native tools. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), data lakes, and warehouses.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Design scalable ETL pipelines, architect data lakes and warehouses, and develop data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Data Integration and Management: Integrate various data sources into the data lake, ensure data quality, and implement best practices for data management.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance, implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
  • Documentation and Maintenance: Document technical solutions and processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Proven experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Proficient in SQL and query optimization techniques.
