About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transmission Planning Engineer to join our team at Airtel. As a key member of our transmission planning department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and expansion of our microwave network.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and optimizing microwave networks, including frequency planning, infrastructure requirements, material planning, interface and IP planning for both LTE and 5G sites. You will also be involved in microwave network optimization activities to reduce interference and outages, as well as tracking and planning bandwidth upgrades.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning PDH, SDH, IP packet, and fiber rings to protect sites in the network and provide sufficient bandwidth for future network expansion.
  • Preparing BOQ for MW links and other transmission-related equipment and cards based on requirements.
  • DCN planning and service configuration.
  • Ater and Abis Path Planning for new BSC and new rollout sites, ensuring trails are created as per plan in NMS.
  • Supporting vendor teams during new hop deployment and operating teams during outages.
  • Microwave database maintenance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Communications Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in transmission planning and optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of microwave network planning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
