We are an emerging creative production company focused on pushing the boundaries of visual effects and storytelling. Our current project involves creating a hyper-realistic movie, and we are seeking a skilled VFX Head to lead our team in delivering cutting-edge visual effects.

Job Overview:

As the VFX Head, you will oversee and guide the visual effects team throughout the production of our hyper-realistic movie. Your responsibilities will include managing team dynamics, workflow, and technical execution, ensuring the highest quality of realism.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the VFX department from concept to final delivery, ensuring all visual effects align with the creative vision.
  • Collaborate with the Director, Producers, and other creative departments to integrate VFX seamlessly with live-action footage.
  • Manage the VFX pipeline, ensuring a smooth workflow and timely delivery of assets.
  • Provide feedback, guidance, and mentorship to junior VFX artists and interns.
  • Ensure hyper-realistic quality across all visual effects, maintaining a high standard for both technical and creative execution.
  • Oversee the technical aspects of VFX production, including simulation, modeling, lighting, and compositing.
  • Solve technical issues that arise during production, optimizing the process for efficiency.
  • Regularly communicate with the team and maintain a collaborative, creative working environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading VFX projects, with a strong portfolio showcasing hyper-realistic work.
  • Proficiency in VFX software such as Houdini, Nuke, Maya, Blender, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of photorealistic rendering, simulation, lighting, and compositing techniques.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills to manage a remote team.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Experience working remotely or in a distributed team is a plus.
