Job Opportunity

  • We are seeking a senior professional to lead debt transactions in East Africa, structuring and executing local currency deals.
  • This role involves originating and pitching deals to investors, both locally and internationally, to build confidence in the market.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with development finance institutions, financial institutions, and capital market players to enhance investor relationships.
  • Contribution to fundraising initiatives is essential, focusing on securing grants and delivering technical assistance to improve proposal quality and compliance.
  • Experience in leveraging risk intelligence and credit technology to design scalable solutions is highly valued.
  • This role also involves contributing to proposal writing, investor outreach, and sales processes.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Candidates should hold a CA / CFA / MBA Finance degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in structured finance, preferably in NBFCs, finance, fintech, or MFIs.
  • A strong understanding of structured finance, credit analysis, economic analysis, strategic cost-benefit analysis, valuation analysis, and partnerships is required.
  • Experience in designing or executing securitisation, local bonds, or blended finance transactions is essential.
  • Strong sales and proposal writing skills are necessary for this role.
  • A passion for inclusive finance and emerging markets is highly valued.
  • Location: Chennai, with willingness to travel up to 20% within East Africa.
