Software Quality Assurance is a critical component of software development. It ensures that the software meets the required standards and quality, thereby minimizing risks and errors.

As a Software Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire quality assurance process. This includes defining, implementing, and monitoring quality processes in line with industry standards such as CMMI for Development and Agile methodologies.

You will lead/participate in audits to ensure compliance with these standards and identify areas for improvement. Your expertise in risk management will help mitigate potential risks throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

To achieve this, you will need to have hands-on experience in software development, with a strong background in quality processes. Experience working in product companies or IT services is preferred, with at least 75% of your career in Tier-1 firms. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology is also essential.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Strong knowledge of CMMI for Development, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies is necessary. Additionally, certifications like CMMI Assessment Team Member and ISO Lead Assessor are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Excellence: Define, implement, and monitor quality processes to meet business requirements.
  • Compliance & Standards: Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks throughout the SDLC.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process enhancements and adoption of best practices across teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: 6–10 years in software industry, with minimum 6 years in software development.
  • Certifications: CMMI Assessment Team Member; ISO Lead Assessor preferred.
  • Methodologies: Strong knowledge of CMMI for Development, Agile, and awareness of Waterfall.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical ability.
