Senior Financial Strategist Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Strategist to lead our finance functions and drive strategic decision-making. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, MIS reporting, and financial planning.
  • Leadership and management of accounts, payables/receivables, cost control, revenue optimization, and internal controls.
  • Review and analysis of P&L, cash flows, and operational metrics specific to banquet and catering projects.
  • Ensuring statutory compliance with GST, TDS, income tax, and other regulations; coordination with auditors and tax authorities.
  • Implementation of financial best practices, controls, and ERP systems tailored to banqueting/catering.
  • Partnership with operations and sales teams to plan profitable events, track margins, and control expenses.
  • Support leadership in decision-making with clear financial analysis and recommendations.
  • Mentorship and supervision of the finance team; driving a culture of continuous process improvement and financial integrity.
  • Management of vendor contracts, payment cycles, and timely disbursements to suppliers and service partners.
  • Variance analysis, highlighting cost-saving opportunities, and implementation of corrective actions.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • CA/MBA (Finance) or equivalent, with experience in hospitality/banqueting/catering.
  • Minimum 8–12 years of overall finance experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in budgeting, compliance, MIS, financial modeling, event/catering cost controls.
  • Proficiency in Tally, SAP, or hospitality ERP systems.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • High integrity and process orientation; experience in audit and statutory reporting.
