Job Role: SCADA System Manager

We are seeking a skilled SCADA System Manager to lead our team in designing, configuring and deploying Ignition SCADA and MES applications across manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement real-time data acquisition, visualization and reporting solutions for production tracking, OEE analysis, downtime traceability and SPC compliance.
  • Architect and integrate OT systems (PLC, SCADA, MES) with enterprise IT systems, databases and cloud platforms.
  • Develop and maintain secure data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT and OPC UA protocols.
  • Manage industrial databases, SQL historian and timeseries databases for high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs.
  • Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives such as Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing and predictive analytics.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize and support existing SCADA/MES deployments to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the engineering team.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in MES functions, production tracking, OEE analysis, traceability and SPC compliance.
  • Proficiency in database technologies (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience with OT/IT integration technologies.
  • REST API proficiency for system interconnectivity.
  • MQTT for IIoT messaging and lightweight communication.
  • OPC UA for industrial interoperability.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, SCADAs, HMIs and plant floor connectivity.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards (ISA95, ISA88, ISA99, IEC 62443).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms (Azure IoT, AWS IoT etc).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for SCADA/MES deployments.
  • Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation, Industry 4.0 projects.
  • Certifications (Ignition Gold Certified Specialist, OPC UA or relevant industrial IT/OT certifications).
