Senior Drainage Engineering Specialist

The role of a Senior Drainage Engineer is an exciting opportunity for a professional seeking to progress their career in the water sector.
As part of our specialist Drainage Design team, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of drainage projects through various stages of the design process, from feasibility to planning/detailed design and onto construction.
Your primary objective will be to lead the preparation of designs and specifications under the supervision of more senior staff, ensuring they meet industry standards and protocols.
You will also be required to perform technical checking and design reviews, train and mentor junior staff, and engage with clients through design review meetings and progress updates.
Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing fee estimates, staff utilisation forecasts, and defining project scopes, as well as managing a small team and taking on line management responsibilities.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Causeway Flow/Infodrainage software is highly desirable, and experience working closely with team leads to set out developmental goals for teams is essential.
