We are seeking a talented Software Development Engineer II to join our team and play a critical role in building next-generation experiences.

As a key member of our organization, you will work closely with the business to define expansion strategy and innovate solutions that drive growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create innovative software services and tools from scratch, and improve existing systems to meet evolving needs.
  • Develop detailed architecture and design to translate complex functional and technical requirements into actionable plans.
  • Lead software developers in design, implementation, and operations, ensuring seamless execution of projects.
  • Participate in designs, reviews, and develop code to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Provide real-time operational support for functional areas, responding efficiently to multiple priorities.
  • Collaborate with senior technical leaders to review and improve designs and solutions.

About the Role:

  • This position is part of our International Expansions team, which launches Amazon in new non-footprint countries.
  • You will be working on a new team in the International Expansions organization.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of design or architecture experience, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience in video games industry supporting title development, release, or live ops.
  • Proficiency in at least one software programming language.
  • Full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
