About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Travel & Tourism Intern. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of our travel services department, including booking travel arrangements, communicating with clients, collaborating with travel suppliers, researching destination information, and preparing travel itineraries and documentation.

Responsibilities
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting in booking travel arrangements for clients, including flights, accommodations, transportation, and activities, according to their preferences and budget
2. Communicating with clients via phone, email, and in-person to provide information, answer inquiries, and resolve any issues or concerns related to their travel plans
3. Collaborating with travel suppliers, such as airlines, hotels, and tour operators, to negotiate rates, secure bookings, and ensure availability for clients
4. Researching destination information, including attractions, events, and local customs, to provide recommendations and enhance the travel experience for clients
5. Preparing travel itineraries and documentation, including tickets, vouchers, and visas, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of information
6. Assisting with administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and maintaining client records, to ensure efficient workflow and organization within the travel services department
7. Staying informed about travel industry trends, updates, and regulations, and sharing relevant information with team members to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction
8. Providing support to the travel services team during peak periods, special promotions, and events, and contributing to achieving departmental goals and targets
9. Collaborating with other departments, such as marketing and sales, to promote travel packages, special offers, and exclusive deals to clients and prospects
10. Participating in training sessions, workshops, and team meetings to enhance knowledge and skills related to travel services and customer service best practices

Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must be currently enrolled in a degree program in tourism, hospitality, business, or a related field, have a strong passion for travel and eagerness to learn and develop skills in the travel industry, excellent communication skills, detail-oriented and organized, proficiency in computer applications, ability to work independently and collaboratively, positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
