Job Role

As a principal scientist, you will play a key role in discovering and advancing innovative therapies addressing unmet medical needs. You will collaborate with global teams to identify opportunities for therapeutic innovation and contribute to multidisciplinary project teams by developing and implementing in vitro activity assays.

  • Develop and implement in vitro activity assays to evaluate the efficacy of potential therapeutics.
  • Establish advanced assay protocols, adapting from internal SOPs or literature sources.
  • Oversee the transfer and troubleshooting of assay protocols between teams and partners.
  • Ensure timely data reporting into databases.
  • Develop key performance indicators for partners and implement best practices for assay management.
  • Cultivate new professional relationships and represent the organization externally.

Requirements

  • A PhD in life sciences, biochemistry, or related discipline, or Master's degree in a relevant field with equivalent experience.
  • Experience in assay development, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Scientific background in drug discovery with proficiency in assay development and small molecule screening.
  • Experience designing and implementing 384-well microplate assays.
