Job Description

A Senior Accounting Professional is responsible for various financial and accounting tasks.

The role involves preparing and verifying Purchase & Sales Bills, matching with POs, invoices, and supplementary bills. Additionally, cash control, voucher preparation, and daily transaction entries in accounting books/ERP are part of the job.

Creditors management and vendor payments via NEFT/RTGS are also key responsibilities. Furthermore, handling LC documentation and liaising with bankers for daily operations, as well as preparation of monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements, are essential duties.

The position requires salary & wages computation, maintaining Salary and Attendance Registers, and monthly stock statements preparation for banks (Cash Credit facility). Assistance in finalization of accounts: Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow is also necessary.

Drafting official letters related to accounts and statutory matters, as well as preparation of MIS reports for management, are important aspects of the job.

Statutory Compliances:

  • Income Tax: TDS computation & payment, e-filing of returns, issuing Form 16/16A, advance tax computation, ITR filing.
  • GST: Registration, amendments, challan generation, filing of GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B, annual returns, refunds, audits, and E-Way bills.
  • PF & ESI: Monthly contributions, UAN generation, transfers/withdrawals, employee registration under PF/ESI.
  • Legacy Compliances: VAT/CST, Excise Duty – filing, reconciliations, and audit support.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum: B.Com (Accounting/Finance).
  • Preferred: M.Com or specialization in Finance/Accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian Taxation, GST, TDS, PF/ESI, and statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally, and ERP systems.
