Deputy Project Manager Job Description

The role of Deputy Project Manager is a critical position in the management of complex projects. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing project planning, execution, and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and cost estimates.
  2. Project Execution: Oversee the execution of projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  3. Progress Monitoring: Continuously monitor project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or concerns.
  4. Collaboration and Communication: Foster a collaborative working environment, maintaining open communication with stakeholders and team members.
  5. Resource Management: Effectively manage project resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. An MBA in Project Management or Construction Management is an added advantage.
  • Experience: At least 9-12 years of experience in irrigation and water supply projects, with a minimum of one successful project execution of over ₹500 crores.
  • Skills:
    • Strategic thinking and planning.
    • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
