Key Ignition SCADA ResponsibilitiesAbout the Role: This high-level technical expert will be responsible for leading the design, configuration and deployment of Ignition SCADA applications. Main Job Duties:
  • Design configure and deploy Ignition SCADA and MES applications for manufacturing operations.
  • Architect and implement real-time data acquisition visualization and reporting solutions.
  • Ensure seamless integration of OT systems PLC SCADA MES with enterprise IT systems ERP databases cloud.
  • Develop and maintain secure efficient data exchange using REST APIs MQTT and OPC UA protocols.
  • Manage industrial databases SQL historian timeseries databases for high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs.
  • Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives such as Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing and predictive analytics.
  • Troubleshoot optimize and support existing SCADAMES deployments to ensure minimal downtime.
Skills Required:Please note that you must possess a strong background in MES functions including production tracking OEE downtime analysis traceability SPC etc. You should also have experience working with database technologies such as SQL Server MySQL PostgreSQL or equivalent. Additionally, expertise with OTIT integration technologies, REST APIs, MQTT for IIoT messaging and lightweight communication, and OPC UA for industrial interoperability is required. Familiarity with industrial control systems PLC SCADA HMIs and plant floor connectivity is necessary as well as knowledge of manufacturing standards. You must have excellent problem-solving skills, good communication and collaboration abilities.Preferred Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms, familiarity with cybersecurity best practices in OT environments and experience working on large-scale digital transformation projects. Knowledge of containerization Docker Kubernetes for SCADAMES deployments would also be beneficial. Finally, certifications in Ignition Gold Certified Specialist OPC UA or other relevant industrial IT-OT certifications are an advantage.
