About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to oversee the development of our Reservations Platform group. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage application development standards, processes, and tools to ensure consistency and predictability throughout the SDLC.
  • Facilitate compliance with standard tools and processes for waterfall and agile development, estimating, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Communicate opportunities for creating broader IT-related and corporate standards and policies to application development leaders.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with all IT teams to promote delivery of services that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Monitor projects for alignment with defined business case process and drive timely resolution of escalated service delivery problems.

Skill and Experience

  • 10+ years of application development leadership experience, including 7+ years of technical experience in architecture development, integration, and backend systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of integration approaches and architectures, including cloud-native solutions, microservices, and API orchestration.
  • Experience with technologies such as Java, NoSQL, Spring Boot, WebFlux, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, logging, metrics, monitoring, tracing, service mesh, LTM, GTM, SEO, and GraphQL.
  • Strong understanding of API platforms, back-end services, database, and networking components of full-stack infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated success leading medium- to large-scale initiatives and transformations, with proven management experience in strategic planning and budgeting within one or more business groups.
  • Experience with IT outsourcing activities in a managed services environment and proven knowledge of SDLC, ITIL v3 Framework, Agile methodology, and SAFe Agile.
  • Relevant technology certifications and good process management, negotiating, influencing, and problem-resolution skills.

Education and Certifications

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certification.
