Senior Software Engineer (Java Backend)

Job Overview:

This role involves working as a senior software engineer responsible for managing and performing work across multiple areas of the IT platform, including analysis, development, and administration.

The successful candidate will be expected to take functional oversight of engineering delivery for specific departments, plan and develop entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals, build reliability and resiliency into solutions with appropriate testing and reviewing throughout the delivery lifecycle, and ensure maintainability and reusability of engineering solutions.

The ideal candidate will also have experience with building distributed large-scale low-latency applications, implementing various design patterns to improve application performance, and understanding Object-Oriented Design principles such as SOLID, DRY, KISS.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, implement, and maintain software applications using Java and related technologies.
  • Develop back-end services with Java, integrate APIs, ensure cross-platform optimization, and collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Have proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate or Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, RESTful APIs, and database management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • More than 10 years of experience in implementing software applications using Java & React Technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate or Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, RESTful APIs, and database management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in an Agile development environment.

Key Competencies:

  • Experience with designing and developing scalable, reliable, and maintainable software systems.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative team environments.
