High-Availability Platform Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join our team and help us build a scalable OpenShift platform.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Cluster Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Openshift environments for optimal performance.
  • Availability and Reliability: Ensure high availability and reliability of the Openshift platform through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize cluster performance to meet business needs.
  • Data Storage: Hands-on experience with ODF (Ceph storage) for efficient data management.
  • Security Best Practices: Implement security best practices within the cluster to safeguard against threats.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the Openshift environment promptly.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with development teams for seamless application deployment and integration.
  • Documentation: Document procedures and provide training to team members to ensure knowledge sharing.
  • Disaster Recovery: Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery operations to minimize downtime.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years of experience in administering Kubernetes or Openshift environments.
  • Hands-on experience with ODF (Ceph storage).
  • Strong understanding of containerization technologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Knowledge of networking and security within containerized environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Tools & Technology Stack

  • Red Hat OpenShift, ODF Ceph storage, Loki stack, Container, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Ansible, Linux administration, Git, Prometheus/Grafana, sdN, OVN Kubernetes, Networking, Shell scripting.

Qualification

  • BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field.

Key Requirements

  • Containerization Expertise: Strong understanding of containerization technologies and their application in the OpenShift platform.
  • CLOUD-NATIVE Architecture: Experience with designing and implementing cloud-native architectures using Red Hat OpenShift.
  • DevOps Practices: Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as CI/CD pipelines, Ansible, and Git.
  • Container Orchestration: In-depth knowledge of container orchestration using tools like Kubernetes and Openshift.
