Procurement Specialist Role

About the Position:

We seek a talented Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end transactional procurement processes.

Your primary focus will be on improving process reliability, service levels, and overall quality. You will capture value on key focus areas by managing daily operations, working on end-to-end process improvements, and performing transactional activities of Operational Procurement.

    • Manage end-to-end transactional procurement processes, improving process reliability, service levels, and overall quality.

You will oversee day-to-day procurement operations within the GBS function, ensuring efficient handling of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier management.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Ensuring timely and accurate processing of procurement requests from initiation through to order fulfillment.
  2. Reporting expertise to extract reports from SAP as per requirements from Business.
  3. Coordinate with vendors for deliveries and queries related to POs created.
  4. Coordinate with internal departments and stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and ensure service delivery meets expectations.
  5. Conduct timely communication upon inquiries from internal/external customers/concerned groups.
  6. Follow up-to-date operational procedures and adhere to standardized processes.
  7. Initiate or execute archiving of contracts/purchase orders.
  8. Timely identify potential issues and make appropriate escalations.
  9. Operational compliance on all regulatory, internal/external guidelines and support on audit activities.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field preferred.
  • Business experience required.
  • 3+ years of indirect spend procurement experience with strong negotiation skills.
  • SAP module knowledge and experience.
  • Desirable working experience in a Shared Services Center procurement procedures.
