Job Overview:

The Deputy Manager - Procurement position involves managing designated areas of work effectively and efficiently, developing relationships with stakeholders, and executing sourcing strategies to drive value and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders at corporate and factory levels and execute sourcing strategies for commodities to drive value and significantly impact bottom-line profitability.
  • Devise and employ fruitful sourcing strategies to discover the most profitable suppliers and initiate business partnerships in Structure and Aesthetics (Sheet Metal, Plastic, Rubber, Di-casting, Fasteners) and Packaging Parts areas.
  • Negotiate with external suppliers to secure advantageous terms and track functional metrics to improve supplier effectiveness.
  • Manage Total Cost Of Ownership (BOM, Overall Cost Structure, Quality & logistics).
  • Develop a strategic approach to manage S&A as a commodity, setting future targets across standards, cost, performance, and Lead time.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and supplier partners to demonstrate Product Leadership of new launches and expectations.
  • Perform risk management regarding supply contracts and agreements.
  • Analyze and identify change/improvement opportunities to add value to the business.
  • Support key value-based initiatives in the S&A space.
  • Create justification and gain consensus for new projects/initiatives to improve tooling and molding business performance.
  • Demonstrate good leadership abilities in managing conflicts among cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

  • 6-10 years relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Preferred Skills And Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of Sheet Metal Stamping, Plastic, Rubber, Di-casting, Fasteners Parts' manufacturing process & cost associated with it.
  • Different Raw materials techno-commercial knowledge of application.
  • Sound knowledge about different tools/die.
  • Negotiation Skill set.
  • Different Post molding operation Time Management and Prioritization.
  • Good communication & presentation skill.
  • People Leader skill set.
  • Thought Process Leadership.
