Indirect Category Procurement Specialist

This role is responsible for ensuring timely procurement of indirect spend categories, including marketing, IT, facility, and HR requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of category performance objectives and the ability to develop strategic sourcing plans aligned with SCM objectives.

The Indirect Category Procurement Specialist will oversee procurement activities for the indirect category, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient sourcing processes. They will be responsible for demand forecasting, developing an annual procurement plan, and analyzing industry trends to inform category strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining category performance objectives aligned with SCM objectives
  • Developing strategic sourcing plans through analysis of industry trends and vendor landscapes
  • Overseeing procurement activities for the indirect category
  • Working with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient sourcing processes
  • Analyzing industry trends to inform category strategy

Required skills and qualifications include:

A bachelor's degree and an MBA or recognized procurement certification

Minimum 6 years of global indirect procurement experience with a large multinational setup

Knowledge of recent trends and developments in facility management, marketing, technology, and network fields

Experience in strategic sourcing via category management

Significant experience in leading teams

Understanding of international, regional, and local supply markets and working practices

Preferred skills include experience in catalog development for standard products/services, e-sourcing toolsets Oracle/SAP, and implementing change in a complex environment.
