PR Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned PR specialist to manage our Entertainment clients' public relations and client servicing needs. The ideal candidate will oversee day-to-day operations, formulate monthly plans, strategize events, and cultivate relationships with media, influencers, and bloggers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage high-profile client portfolios with confidence and maturity.
  • Serve as primary representative of the firm to clients, media, and vendor partners.
  • Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients and media contacts.
  • Take full ownership of client accounts, ensuring knowledge of all relevant client details.
  • Handle media interactions, prepare pitch notes, and proactively monitor opportunities for client placements.
  • Review and finalize all client documentation, including press releases, plans, and reports, in collaboration with your supervisor.
  • Ensure adherence to deadlines and client deliverables.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and insights through various channels.
Media & Influencer Relations:
  • Represent both the client and the firm in all interactions with media and influencers.
  • Analyze trends in traditional and digital media to identify new opportunities for client exposure.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage of your clients, ensuring comprehensive tracking.
  • Foster positive relationships with media and influencers through regular outreach.
Documentation:
  • Ensure all client documentation is of high quality and error-free.
  • Develop content ranging from press releases, press notes, snippets, listicles, spokesperson responses, speeches, authored articles based on brand messaging.
Digital & Social Media:
  • Integrate visual communications, social media, and digital channels into client programs effectively.
  • Stay informed on emerging digital trends and technologies, applying them to client strategies as appropriate.
Partnerships:
  • Pursue opportunities for client partnerships, sponsorships, and events on an ongoing basis.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in PR preferably in the Entertainment industry.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building abilities.
  • Knowledge of local market and media landscape.
