Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Kubernetes Architect to design, deploy and manage large-scale OpenShift clusters across production and lab environments.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for solution architecture, deployment, security hardening, monitoring, storage integration and supporting high-availability Kubernetes-based environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement RedHat OpenShift clusters in enterprise-grade environments.
  • Set up air-gapped OCP installations on HPE Synergy and Blade infrastructure.
  • Build multiple OCP clusters with 3 master nodes and N worker nodes each.
  • Develop High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation for OCP deployment.
  • Configure Multus for external IP communication and Portworx for database nodes.
  • Implement geo-redundancy and failover strategies.
  • Apply CIS Security Hardening for Kubernetes and underlying nodes.
  • Implement RBAC, image policies, Kubernetes security policies and certificate management.
  • Set up Ingress controllers, API server configurations and HA Proxy load balancing with SSL and KeepAlive.
  • Configure DNS, DHCP and NTP for cluster networking.
  • Integrate Kubernetes clusters with network switches and SAN storage.
  • Implement SNMP alerting and monitoring.
  • Set up Portworx for persistent storage.
  • Deploy and configure Container Registry.
  • Integrate Elasticsearch and Kibana for application logs.
  • Configure Rsyslog for node log forwarding, archival policies and external log analyzer integration.
  • Support sidecar containers for centralized log forwarding.
  • Deploy Prometheus and Grafana dashboards for monitoring cluster resources.
  • Configure alerts for node, pod and persistent storage.
  • Ensure continuous monitoring of infrastructure and application workloads.
  • Perform installation, upgrades and patching at node and Kubernetes level.
  • Manage backup and restore processes.
  • Validate cluster health via test deployments and functional checks.
  • Support application deployments and ATP post-migration tests.
  • Support Couchbase and other middleware installations on Kubernetes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Kubernetes, OpenShift and containerized environments.
  • Strong expertise in OCP cluster deployment in enterprise-grade environments.
  • Hands-on experience with HPE Synergy and Blade infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in Networking, Storage and Monitoring solutions.
  • Solid understanding of Logging and Security concepts.
  • Experience with Container Registry management.
  • Familiarity with application deployment using Helm.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and performance optimization skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
